Prior to founding Authentic Self Therapeutic Services, LLC,
I provided therapeutic care as a group therapist at a Partial Hospitalization Program, a home-based family therapist and child and adolescent outpatient therapist at a community mental health center, and, most recently, as an individual therapist for children, youth, and adults at a private practice.
I value lifelong learning. I actively engage in professional consultation with a certified psychoanalyst, a therapist consultation group, and training relevant
to client needs. I have post-graduate psychodynamic training through the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute.

By the fall of 2025, I will complete an advanced, clinical trauma professional training offered by Dr. Janina Fisher, a former instructor of Dr. Bessel van der Kolk's "The Trauma Center" and former instructor at Harvard Medical School.
I am spiritually centered and believe in the value of self-exploration.
I am queer (pan/lesbian). I enjoy writing poetry, reading, and hot yoga.

I am living my dream by being a therapist, and I am
here to support your dreams, too.

“The sun shall always rise upon a new day and there shall always be a rose garden within me. Yes, there is a part of me that is broken, but my broken soil gives way to my wild roses.” – C. JoyBell C.
I completed a Master of Social Work in 2017 from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with a specialization in Interpersonal Practice with Children, Youth, and Families and Child Welfare (abuse and neglect).
The most valuable information I take forward is that everyone needs safety, support, trust, and hope.
“You become. It takes a long time. That’s why it doesn’t happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept.
Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby.
But these things don’t matter at all, because once you are Real you can’t be ugly, except to people who don’t understand.”
